Well the Southern Poverty Law Center recently released a list entitled "Meet the Patriots" which gives information regarding 36 people leading the patriot movement in the USA. The last time I checked, supporting the Constitution and Conservative principles was not a punishable offense. Actually, they aren't offenses at all. I mean, our service men and women swear an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic.
This list is awful, the very nature of it makes patriots into villains, it suggests that they are wrong-doers, isn't having an opinion just that? Aren't opinions neither right or wrong since they are not based in fact? The attitude taken by the SPLC is dangerous in that the federal government puts a lot of stock into what they say. Given that the patriot movement is under direct assault by the government makes this issue even worse. This list by the SPLC and recent comments by former President Clinton equating those who disagree with the government with the likes of Timothy McVeigh is a blatant effort to paint those who support the Tea Party Movement, the Patriot Movement, and those who see big government for what it is as dangerous individuals.
The worst part of this list is that THREE sitting US Representatives are on the list. Representative Ron Paul of Texas and Representative Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota, and Representative Paul Broun of Georgia. All three of these Representatives have served honorably in Congress and are not and have not ever been under any investigation for wrongdoing in office. You may disagree with their views, but they have done nothing wrong. I for one support the views of all three Representatives (Bachmann and Ron Paul especially) so to demonize them on a list that equates those who respect the Constitution with villains of society is irresponsible, dangerous and wrong.
Given the spate of threats against Representatives-which is extremely wrong under any circumstances this does nothing but fuel that fire further. No Tea Party activist has been arrested for any act of violence perpetrated during a rally-the left wing activists CANNOT make that statement. Before anyone starts making mention equating militias and the patriot movement they ARE NOT the same. The Hutaree militia was a poor example of patriotism as they sought to harm police officers who may also share patriotic views. The right to form and maintain a militia to support and defend the Constitution is a right provided in the document of the same name. The patriot movement itself is about small government, responsibility, and keeping our legislators honest. It is about standing up for Constitutional principles and it is not yet another plan regarding class separation. We would rather see people help one another through legitimate acts of charity as opposed to government redistribution through taxes.
Before you label us, do your homework. We are non-violent, we are educated, and we are passionate. True patriots and true supporters of the Republic and freedom are not racists. Racism does nothing positive, if you are limiting opportunities for one you are limiting them for all people.
In conclusion, the fix is in-the media and the liberals are rapidly making us into something that we are not. The truth is out there and we that support the patriot movement are keeping a close eye to make sure infiltrators are exposed. We are not monsters, we are not thugs, we do not want to terrorize and destroy the poor. We wish to help all people by giving them the opportunity to pick themselves up and grow on their own, not sit idly by and beg for handouts. We are not racists, we are not violent, and we follow the letter of the law. So the question I pose to the left? How about you?

Some Beasts Should Go Extinct
Extinction is usually not a good thing, it is most awful when any living organism goes extinct. I personally think the world is better with more animals, plants, etc. Makes things more colorful.
Though even in 2010 we have a dinosaur that lurks around, it's been around in this fine nation since the early 19th century. That dinosaur is the "Labor Union."
At first, they were a great idea, people were being forced to work horrendously long hours with no breaks, little pay, and great exposure to danger. By organizing and uniting it helped pave the way for better pay and conditions, and helped create federal law that secured many rights for American workers. Rather than quit right there, they kept going, after all a union could turn a huge profit.
As time went on they went from being champions of workers rights to a microcosm of George Orwell's "INGSOC" society. The outer party of hard working laborers who must walk in lock step with the higher ups or face sanction, and the inner party which consists of the union bosses who live rather nicely off the dues of those who toil. For a system inspired by that filthy wretch Karl Marx who claimed he wanted the workers to have power, the whole union system appears to be that which he claimed to despise.
Of course any intelligent human being realizes that Marx was a thoughtless monster who views people only as numbers and means of production, so do unions. Though I think most unions prefer to see their members as dollar signs or money in their pockets.
Seriously, what good do unions do? They fleece members for dues, threaten them with sanctions (or in many cases violence) should members oppose certain platforms or refuse to strike, and negotiate shoddy contracts which often give dues paying members the short end, the company the short end, and the union the meal ticket.
In my hometown almost 30 years ago the steel union demanded a $1 an hour pay raise and they got it...the mills then shut down and lots of people were out of work. The region has yet to recover, all over a $1 an hour raise. I am not saying people should work for free or for the lowest wage possible, but I think having a job is better than having nothing.
Today a local school district went on strike, never mind the kids who need educations, they want to pay less for benefits in addition to a 15% pay increase. Teachers should make more, but they should also earn it. Pay for play-they better your students do, the more you get paid. If that existed, the graduation rate would be through the roof.
Makes you think twice when you realize how close the Obama Dictatorship in the Making is to the labor unions in this nation. Then again they are both really good at screwing up good things.
To close, the labor union is a dinosaur that needs to die. Their usefulness has been outlived and legislation can prevent or mitigate the so called injustices they seek to remedy. Should they be legal? Oh yes, but make union membership voluntary for all businesses, no more closed shops. If any union is found guilty of intimidation, that chapter is closed. We have rules, why not enforce them?

The Walk Into the Night
With all due respect to the victims of the horrible earthquake in Haiti, we must look at ourselves and help ourselves before we can help others.
It was reported today that should the Democrats (AKA Communists) lose the Massachusetts senate election, they are willing to use reconciliation to pass this ill-advise, ill-timed, and massively unpopular health bill.
Never mind that it is garbage legislation, unconstitutional, unnecessary, unpopular, and unwanted. Those who were elected to serve the Constitution and the People are outright ignoring the very entities they have agreed to serve. The Legislative branch of this nation has shown us that they are unfit to govern, that they no longer care, and they feel that they are fit to rule over us as monarchs rather than elected representatives.
For every Senator and Congressman who votes for this bill, I say their constituents should band together and RECALL these "representatives" who obviously have lost sight of what they are supposed to do. Sadly they have been empowered by decades of people who neglected to care for our Republic. Just because we started this mess does not mean we cannot fix it, our "representatives" must be reminded who is in charge-We The People-are in charge.
I would remind you all with an example that I have used in the past. For those of you that work or have ever held a job, what would happen if you were to go into work and tell your boss how you were going to run things? I don't think it would go over so well, in all likelihood you would be fired.
Seeing is that our employees "CONGRESS AND CHAIRMAN OBAMA" see fit to not give a damn about what We The People want and think, shouldn't they lose their jobs as we would lose ours? Get on the phone to your "representatives" and remind them who is in charge and what you will do if they don't fall in line-you will vote them out and remind everyone else to do the same. If they persist, start getting a recall petition in order.
We are taking that long walk into the night, a night where our Republic is no more. Sadly it seems that we are ever nearer to the end, that it is getting awfully dark, and do we wan to find out if there is a point of no return?

How Much More Obvious Must It Get?
Chairman Obama said eight times during his campaign that the health care negotiations would be on C-SPAN.
Now he is giving them one hour.
Nancy "Crypt Keeper" Pelosi doesn't want any coverage of these negotiations at all.
Shouldn't such a big deal be televised? Should this not be clandestine?
The bigger question is: "Why not be transparent? Why not show negotiations on TV?" The only time you hide anything is when you do not want others to see it.
What don't they want us to see?
Wake up everyone, our Republic has been hijacked. Our oppressors want us to stay asleep, so for the love of God don't do that.
Get educated, get motivated, become aware, do your homework. Bother your representatives, that is why they are in office. Ask the hard questions, do the research, understand what is going on.
If you don't...I will ask you to do some research on the Soviet Union, that is where we are headed if we don't force the Government to do their job. What is their job exactly? Whatever we the people dictate that it is.
Remember, we are the ones in charge, not them.
